Music and Movement

Our  music curriculum is Orff-based and carefully structured around the age level of each group. Carl Orff (1895-1982) was a German composer and educator who believed that the best way to teach children was through a hands on approach in their natural environment of play.  The children play rhythm band instruments, dance with scarves, sing new songs, partner dance, tap beats with rhythm sticks, participate in a marching band, and tap rhythms on hand drums.
